Q: How much does an inspection cost?A: Prices start at $250. Additional charges may be made for larger homes, crawl spaces, travel or other extenuating circumstances.
Q: When do I pay for the inspection?
A: Payment is due and payable at the time of inspection. Personal checks or money orders are accepted. We also accept VISA and Mastercard.
Q: What is included in the inspection?
A: Our inspection and report is designed to conform to the Standards of Practice of the American Society of Home Inspections. Click here to see the Standards of Practice.
Q: How long does it take to perform an inspection?
A: The time varies from home to home. Usually Hal and his assistant are at the site from one to two hours. To make things as convenient as possible to clients, realtors, and home owners, the finished report is completed later at our office.
Q: What are some things that are not included in a home inspection?
A: To list a few: security systems, sprinkler systems, telephone, television or internet systems, built-in sound systems, intercoms, central vacuum systems, septic systems, wells, pools, pumps, sumps, French drains, heat exchangers, or detached buildings not specifically requested by the client to be included.
Q: How long does it take to get the report?
A: We can usually post the report within 24 hours, depending on the complexity of the property and the work load.
